A Singapore-headquartered hotel company is hosting a week of heritage food and community events at its Ho Chi Minh City property this August, bringing Singaporean dishes and cultural traditions to the city ahead of Singapore's National Day.

KiN Group, which operates more than 30 hotels across Vietnam and is targeting 13,000 rooms by 2029, has organised The Lepak Makan Club at KiN Hotel Thi Sach Edition. A private opening evening on 7 August will be attended by Mr Pang Te Cheng, Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City. Public sessions follow on 8, 14, 15 and 16 August, running from 6:30 to 9:30 PM each evening. Early-bird tickets, available until 24 July, are priced at VND 1,100,000; general admission rises to VND 1,388,000 from 25 July.

The event is a collaboration with SingShiok!, operating through L'earth Vietnam JSC, a regional importer of products from more than 30 Singapore brands. Alongside the food programme, the evenings include a Mamashop stocked with childhood favourites, traditional games such as five stones and congkak, and Tikam-Tikam Trivia. Soft drinks and Tiger Beer are included in the ticket price, as is a pull-your-own Teh Tarik station.
